Looking Back at 2025 – A Big Year at The Star

What a year it’s been.

As 2025 draws to a close, we just want to take a moment to say thank you – to everyone who’s walked through the doors of The Star this year. Whether you came for breakfast, a quiet pint, a family gathering, a music night, or one of our bigger events, you helped make the pub what it is – lively, welcoming, and full of community spirit.

Here are just a few highlights from a packed year:

Mother’s Day and Father’s Day – both fully booked with families celebrating together. There’s nothing we love more than seeing generations gathered around the table.
Live music galore – from the unforgettable performances by Crooked Style Band, who kept the place rocking (with everything from rockney to didgeridoos), to The Great Mates and The Ellie Babies’ jazz in the garden. There was dancing, laughter, and some truly special nights.
The Sign Reveal Party – a real standout! A full pub from breakfast through to the evening, the new sign unveiled to a round of applause, and Crooked Style staying on an extra hour thanks to a collection going round. A brilliant day that reminded us why we love what we do.
Race nights with both the Tenterden Lions Club and Tenterden Hub – raising impressive amounts for local charities, and filling the pub with fun and purpose. You helped raise £1400 for the Lions alone. That’s no small thing.
Some big birthdays celebrated – with laughter, speeches, cake, and dancing well into the evening. Thank you for choosing The Star for your milestones.
And most recently, we’ve had a packed calendar leading into Christmas, with bookings flying in and the Tractor Run still to come – always a village favourite to end the year with a smile.

Throughout 2025, we’ve been consistently booked up for weekend breakfasts and lunches, and we’ve welcomed everyone from regulars to first-timers, visiting walkers to wedding guests. We’ve catered events both in-house (our cosy Little Barn saw plenty of use!) and out in the village.
